William J. Markert, Jr. joined Fluegel Law Firm in 2008 after graduating from William Mitchell College of Law where he was a recipient of a CALI Award for Excellence. Bill received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University.

After graduating from Marquette in 1999, Bill served in the United States Army and as a Biomedical Engineer with a Minneapolis based medical device manufacturer before starting law school. Bill has built his practice in the areas of probate and trust administration, estate planning, guardianship and conservatorship administration, real estate, business law and general civil litigation.

Bill has developed extensive court time and experience representing private clients and the Firm’s municipal prosecution clients. Bill lives in Hastings with his wife and children.
