Sean R. McCarthy graduated from Hamline Law School in 1995. Sean joined Fluegel Law Firm in 2007. Sean is an experienced courtroom litigator who has handled thousands of court trials and more than fifty appeals before the Minnesota Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Sean’s work history and extensive trial experience have helped him to become an effective advocate on behalf of his clients.

In addition to handling matters for private civil clients, Sean also serves as an assistant city prosecutor for multiple municipalities including Rosemount and Hastings. Sean has established a reputation as a fair and effective prosecutor, and he routinely handles conflict prosecution matters for other jurisdictions. Sean has considerable experience in the areas of DWI/implied consent prosecution, driver’s license law, Indian jurisdiction, and criminal records expungement. Sean has built his practice in the areas of civil litigation, landlord/tenant disputes, residential and commercial evictions, and government/municipal law matters.

Sean is frequently invited to participate in law enforcement training, as well as a lecturer for continuing legal education classes for other lawyers. Sean enjoys spending time with his family in Rosemount, MN.
